Frank earned his B.A. in Economics from Southern Methodist University and has led successful molecular diagnostic testing laboratories for 8 years, serving vast amounts of clients throughout North America. He is also the founder and CEO of the Gulfstream Companies (Gulfstream Health and Gulfstream Capital). Gulfstream’s focus is on opportunistic private debt and equity transactions, and its subsidiaries have deployed in excess of $400m of equity across 75+ investments throughout the United States. Gulfstream has a diverse asset base of passive and active investments focused in healthcare.

Dr. Adwan has extensive experience in molecular diagnostics, laboratory quality management, clinical education, and overall laboratory operations. He graduated with honors from Misericordia University with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry and received his Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Stem Cells and Development from the University of Colorado where he also did his postdoctoral fellowship. While a graduate student and postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Adwan received numerous grants and awards including the National Research Service Award from the National Institute of Health. Dr. Adwan is the author of a number high-impact, peer reviewed publications and is actively engaged with various working groups and scientific advisory committees dedicated to the highest standards in laboratory services. He has been invited to present his work at various scientific meetings including the conference for the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology.

Marisa graduated with an arts degree from the University of Texas and has worked as a creative for over 10 years in various roles. She focuses on communications, marketing, and design so that GeneIQ is cohesively branded and capable of cobranding with any of its affiliated partners. She also coordinates all press, media, and advertising campaigns.

Michael began his career in public accounting with thirteen years of experience, eventually becoming partner at a Chicago area accounting firm. He went on to work as Vice President of Finance for BancTec, a global provider of business process outsourcing services and related technologies, for ten years. Throughout his career, Michael has been responsible for financial reporting to executive leadership teams and board members, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, and playing key roles in M&A and capital raising initiatives. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Olivet Nazarene University.

John is a veteran investor, advisor, board member and recognized executive in the Information Technology and Business Services Industries with more than 35 years of experience in CEO and senior leadership positions. Earlier in his career, Harris spent twenty-five years with Electronic Data Systems (“EDS”), during which time he held a variety of executive leadership positions including Group Executive, Corporate Officer and President of EDS’ four strategic business units serving the telecommunication and media industries worldwide. In addition, John has served on numerous private and public board of directors as Chairman, Lead director, and Special Committee Chairman, as well as Chairing Audit, Compensation and Governance committees. Harris holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of West Georgia and is on the Board of Advisors to the Richardson School of Business.

Samantha earned her B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin and is a certified Technologist in Molecular Biology from the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Samantha provides supervision of daily laboratory functions and testing personnel to ensure the proper performance of all laboratory procedures, as well as the highest quality of service to clients.

Elena has more than 20 years of experience in Biology research and Biotechnology. In recent years, she worked at gene synthesis company Gen9 where she provided technical leadership to develop and optimize innovative methodologies for the automated production of DNA constructs. Elena also worked at Nanobiosym Diagnostics where she was involved in the development of diagnostic assays to detect infectious diseases such as Zika, Flu A/B, and HIV in human samples. At GeneIQ, Elena provides daily supervision of laboratory staff, oversees laboratory procedures, and coordinates workflow of routine laboratory tasks.
